After a job post is submitted by employers, each part of the job post will be reviewed by our approval team to check several issues regarding the job post. If the job post fully meets all the requirements and qualifications, the job post will be approved right away. If it fails to fit with our policy and guidelines and is unable to meet the minimum requirements, it will be declined.
Job posts get declined for several reasons, starting from failing to meet the proper formatting requirements such as spelling and grammar errors to community policy violations and not allowed.
The following issues are the reasons for your job post decline:
A case of Bad Format
This is where job posts fail to meet the minimum job description quality, among the major issues.
Spelling and grammar errors, writing unclear descriptions with limited information for job seekers, mentioning links, usernames, using Emojis and unnecessary signs, mixed languages and so on writing related issues.
To avoid this, follow the steps.
- Properly write your job description and check for any spelling and related errors
- Make sure your job description includes the following points but not too much detail
- The required skills and qualifications of the candidate
- The expected roles and responsibilities of the ideal candidate
- Salary range would be beneficial to attract more interested candidates, but not mandatory
- Mentioning a short summary about your business could help applicants to be interested in applying and attract serious applicants.
- Avoid using signs and emojis
- Only use consistent languages, either start it with English or Amharic. Use that language only
- Consider your target audience and make sure the description can be understood by your target audience.
- Avoid mentioning links, usernames and phones as our product itself has its own filtering mechanism (click here to read more).
Not allowed or Against policy
If a job post is found against our policy, your job post will be declined for the reasons above.
genuine. Some job posts are very sensitive to harmful or malicious activities by their nature of operation, while some jobs are hard to verify they are genuine. Avoiding exposure to users and not to risk and jeopardize the quality of our service.
For instance, network-marketing and pyramid scheme jobs are not allowed since the job types by themselves are prone to be used for illegal trade engagements and scam activities. While night shift club waitress and home-maid jobs are not allowed because, as a technology service, we can't verify the legality issues and other related risks bundled with them.
The above job posts are examples, but these are the major reasons some job posts are not allowed on the platform.
Verification required Issues
This type of rejection comes when the declined job is allowed only for registered businesses. Some jobs are subjected to company registration, because of the multiple reports submitted to us and the nature of the job position itself. Jobs that are sensitive but that can be managed with proper legal verification, it would be possible to establish accountability and responsibility.
For instance, the following jobs require company verification:
Sales, Secretary, Reselling, Acting, Modeling, Promotional Works, Internships and some other job types require company verification. Click here to read more on company verification.
